Leaders have an unwavering commitment to equality of opportunity and removing barriers to achievement. They use additional funds for disadvantaged pupils, and those who have special educational needs and/or disabilities, judiciously.
The school promotes pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development exceptionally well. Pupils are inspired by the school’s values, recognising them as not just their values but those that encompass British values too.
Attendance has improved overall and by different groups. There is strong care and support for pupils’ pastoral needs.
Pupils’ behaviour is exemplary. They are courteous and caring and look after each other. They are really keen to learn, so focus well in lessons.
Inspirational and decisive leadership from the headteacher, her senior team and governors has led to improvements across the school since the previous inspection.
The quality of teaching has improved and is now good. This leads to pupils making good progress across the curriculum.
Leaders and governors have put in place a dynamic and relevant curriculum that engages pupils in their learning.
Teachers are keen to perfect their craft. They value the many training and development opportunities on offer to keep improving pupils’ learning.
